Sometimes life breaks you in ways you never saw coming. Not just a little crack here and there—but a full-on shattering. The kind that leaves you staring at the pieces of your life, your heart, your identity… wondering how it all fell apart so fast. You try to gather what’s left, hoping to rebuild what once was. But no matter how hard you try, the pieces don’t fit the way they used to. And maybe that’s the part no one prepares you for—the moment you realize you can’t go back.
But what if you’re not supposed to?
What if the goal was never to return to who you were before the pain, before the loss, before the silence, before the shift? What if the breaking was the beginning of something sacred? A divine invitation to stop patching up the old and start writing something entirely new?
You see, healing isn’t about pretending it never happened. It’s about honoring what did—and choosing to move forward anyway. It’s about looking at the chapters that nearly destroyed you and deciding they won’t be the end of your story. It’s about letting God meet you in the rubble and whisper, “We’re not done yet.”
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You don’t need to be fully healed to begin again. You just need to be willing to turn the page. To trust that even with tear-stained pages and trembling hands, you can still write something beautiful. Something honest. Something real.
So no, not everything will fit back the way it once did. But maybe that’s the point. Maybe you were never meant to rebuild the old version of you. Maybe you were meant to rise—wiser, softer, stronger—and write a completely different story with the chapters you have left.
And maybe, just maybe, that story will be the one that sets you free.
